Der ProTek R/C 2600 mAh 2S Li-Poly Empfängerakku ist ein superleichter Hochleistungsakku, speziell entwickelt zur Stromversorgung von 1/8 und 1/10 Verbrenner-Rennfahrzeugen. Durch die Verwendung von dicken 20AWG Silikonkabeln bietet dieser Akku eine zuverlässige Spannungsversorgung mit minimalem Widerstand. Er passt direkt in Kyosho und Tekno 1/8 Akkuboxen und reduziert das Fahrzeuggewicht deutlich im Vergleich zu klassischen NiMH-Empfängerakkus.

Dank der konstanten Spannung über den gesamten Lauf liefert dieser Akku auch am Rennende dieselbe Servo-Performance wie am Start (Spannungsregler erforderlich). Damit wird nicht nur das Ansprechverhalten verbessert, sondern auch die Zuverlässigkeit gesteigert.

Die Lexan-Schutzhülle mit blauer Schrumpffolie sorgt für extra Sicherheit und Langlebigkeit der Zellen. Ein kleiner Luftspalt zwischen Hülle und Zellen ist normal und schützt zusätzlich vor Vibrationen.

Laufzeit-Vorteil gegenüber NiMH:
Obwohl die Kapazität mit 2600 mAh angegeben ist, liefert dieser Akku ca. 30 % mehr nutzbare Kapazität als ein vergleichbarer 3000 mAh NiMH-Akku. Das liegt an der höheren Nennspannung von 7,4 V (LiPo) im Vergleich zu 6,0 V (NiMH) und der stabilen Spannungslage bis zum Ende des Rennens.
