Tamiya 1/14 Monster Beetle Trail GF-01TR - 58672A (without ESC)

The classic Tamiya Monster Beetle is a legendary R/C kit. This version takes the classic Beetle body and makes it smaller. It now sits on a GF-01 chassis, the GF-01TR! The GF-01TR is a normal GF-01 chassis, equipped with the portal axles that we already know from the Dynahead 6x6 G601TR chassis. The portal axles increase the ground clearance enormously. This takes off-road capability to a new level.

GF-01TR Chassis: This gear-drive 4WD chassis is built on a lightweight and durable monocoque frame, with power provided by the centrally located motor. Reduction gears on each axle slow the rotation of the drive shaft, providing tremendous traction, high ground clearance and the ability to navigate difficult terrain. The transmission is sealed and integrated into the frame to protect against dust and dirt.

Built-in differential gears provide excellent traction and durability through the use of Diff-Putty, which acts as a differential lock. The 4-wheel double wishbone suspension uses friction dampers, while a two-piece tie rod steering with the servo on the left side provides excellent responsiveness. The yellow wheels are fitted with 115mm diameter hybrid tires with a spike/lug pattern for superior damping and grip.
