There are numerous tactics, templates and measuring instruments - but none of these variants have proven themselves in the long term on the market - UNTIL NOW.
MR33, in collaboration with BOOM RC, is launching the brilliant “Horizontal Body Mounting Tool”, making adjusting your body a safe and easy child’s play.
The “MR33 Horizontal Body Mounting Tool” consists of high-quality 3D printed components and is assembled using a modular system. This means you can use it with the most important 1:10 touring car bodies and always mark and drill your horizontal holes perfectly.
THIS is how it works:
The base part is printed in such a way that it can be placed perfectly on the rear wing mounts of the corresponding body. This means that everything is perfectly centered right from the start. Use the enclosed, full-surface plastic washers to set the desired distance between the body holes (measured from the spoiler mount downwards). Most teams already have information here that you can use as a guide.
The marking plate screwed onto the base part shows the exact hole spacing to show the perfect hole positions that you need to mark. Then all you have to do is drill the holes and that's it. Sounds simple - and it is.
With the “MR33 Horizontal Body Mounting Tool” it is practically no longer possible to shake or mark the holes crookedly.
There are different variants (with different inserts) available, and we have also prepared the marking plates for different touring car models.
Marking plates with the following hole spacing are available (measured from center to center on the body mount posts):
101mm - suitable for Awesomatix MMX and A800R, Mugen Seiki MTC-2 and MTC-2R (MR33-HBMT-101)
107mm - suitable for Iris One.05 (MR33-HBMT-107)
112mm - suitable for Xray X4-2025 (MR33-HBMT-112)
